Fishing on the Test from How Park Farm

For the discerning trout fly fisherman there are three outstanding choices of fly water available from How Park farm. The first is Park Stream, a classical beat immediately below the most exclusive fly fishing club in England. This fishes brown trout only - many of them still wild.

The second is the beautiful swift-flowing carrier beat with waterfalls and deep pools full of brown trout, forming part of Park Stream.

The Pool 2

The third is a nearby deep and clear medium sized lake called Horsebridge Springs, fed by the Test, which offers both large rainbow and brown trout alike. This lake is offered on an exclusive basis so the rod has the lake entirely to him or herself.

All these waters have outstanding fly hatches throughout the season, particularly in late May and early June with the Mayfly hatch.

As from 1st April 2010, book the lake for the day and have a delicious lunch prepared by the Boot Inn, served in the new spacious summerhouse. Or take a rod on the Test and pick up a Boot Inn picnic.

Fishing on the Test

These beats offer the trout fly fisher a wonderful variety of both trout and water in England's most classical and peaceful countryside.
